Hey guys...I need help:

All I did was unplug the KVM switch that allowed me to run Charity's PC and Toidy's PC off of 1 monitor, keyboard, and mouse. I didn't mess with the network connection.

I booted up Charity's PC and I get this message:

Limited or no connectivity

You might not be able to access the Internet or some network resources. The porblem occurred because the network did not assign a network address to the computer.

It gives me an option to restart the connection and try to establish full connectivity, but when I try that it says:

Windows could not finish repairing the problem because the following action cannot be completed:
Renewing your IP address

For assistance, contact the person who manages your network

Well...the person who manages my network is Riceball and he's being a doink and just shrugging and saying "I dunno, baby..."

Help?

Reseat the network card Firmly.
Close Case
Replug in power cable

EDIT: I like what Zanny put too.

Something's causing it to not do it's little "handshake" w/your modem.

First and foremost, tell your computer to stop f*cking off and get to work!! The tell it it'll just have to DEAL with having the monitor plugged back in. Then check the cables to make sure nothing got knocked loose while plugging in aforementioned clunky monitor.

Also, are the other comps doing the same thing?? If so, the 1st thing I do is shut everything down (including unplugging the modem/router) and then restart everything.

IMO computers can be fickle, tempermental little...nvm...it's our job to either curse at them when they're bad, or treat them w/a nice new set of memory sticks w/shiny heatsinks when they behave =P
